While many of the newest generation take music as a given, there are few who take the time and patience to provide the next era of sound for the future. Born in 1991, Ryan Petersen grew up with an appreciation of electronic dance music as the slow but steady conversion from acoustic to electronic instruments took over popular music into the new millennium.
Spurred on by the likes of Darude, Daft Punk and Infected Mushroom, Ryan began to devote his time into the study and creation of his own brand of EDM. Forming a foundation of both local and online fans as Electrodia, his music stepped up a notch after the discovery of modern trance. Big players such as Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren created a draft that would eventually be carved into his own form of forward-thinking sounds, before the Aiera alias was to make Electrodia obsolete in 2010.
Fast forward one year, and Aiera has hit the trance community by storm, with the debut ‘Deepest Dream’ on Blue Soho, throwing the alias into the limelight. Attracting fans from all over the globe, it took just three days for his next original ‘Aiera’ to hit the Beatport Trance Top 100.
Continuing to provide stellar forms of uplifting and melodic trance, the future looks quite bright for the young Australian talent.
